The bad thing about famous movies that were based off of a book, is that chances are no one even knows that the story comes from a book. If you enjoy reading, then that's not something good. Why is it not good? Because they are FAMOUS movies. Meaning, the chances that you have seen the movie are high. Knowing what happens ruins the enjoyment of the book if you read if after viewing the film because you know what happens. I still read Jaws, and I gotta say it was quite a different experience. The only reason I give it a four is because my mind has been tainted with watching the thrilling action. It was kind of dull reading what happens after having watched the scenes, Still, very well written and different; not what you'd expect from a story about a man-eating shark.

I found the book really intriguing, and very fun. I was taken back by it's size when I first saw it(even if a book is interesting, if it's really long it kind of ruins it for me) though it didn't disappoint. I loved all the characters(except for the villains). If you love animals, or just want an interesting adventure novel to read, then I highly recommend this book. Watch the original movie too, I thought it was well done.

This book is really amazing, and very heartwarming. The fact that many don't like it just because the protagonists are "illegals" is honestly disgusting. Do these trump supporters really think that these people want to leave their home? This book shows the exact reason many leave: not to live a better life for themselves, but often to care for their families that stayed in Mexico(or wherever the immigrant is coming from). Victor doesn't want to leave, if he could he would stay in Mexico with his family, he wants nothing to do with the United States. But he cares so much about his family and their well-being that he is willing to sacrifice his life to make the perilous journey through the desert, facing dangers of all sorts. Many in real life are willing to do that. And this book portrays that willingness perfectly. Definitely a must read.

What's there not to like about Good Mythical Morning. It's a show that consists of two men eating, playing and doing things that you probably can't even think of. They can make an interesting and hilarious game out of any topic, ranging from what presidents ate to the price of items on the black market. They eat anything from dung beetles to pig anus, Surstromming to fish eyeballs, and crazy mixes of foods like an eggnog corndog, to the infamous blood tacos. Their crew also consist of funny members including their producer Stevie, the hilarious Emily and Jordan, to their mythical chef Josh. You can go a whole day watching their videos, and you won't even notice. They're great at what they do, they're the kings of "Internetainment".

The Warriors

I don't think this film gets the appreciation it deserves. It's obviously not the first one, but it's still really great and close behind it. There's a lot of heart and depth in the movie, and we see how bad Mike wants to become a scarer, despite his "disability" of not being scary. It carries a really important message, and I think it's awesome how in this one, we see that Mike thinks that there is nothing to life other than scaring, and Sulley is the laid-back one he doesn't care. And in the first one, Mike still cares about his job and scaring, but he has a life outside of the factory, and it is Sulley who just thinks about scaring and nothing else. Not perfect, but really good!

I thought that this movie was surprisingly great! I didn't think much of it when I was a kid. I was just like "Nice. Remy became a chef. Cool.", but now that I'm older, I can appreciate his passion for becoming one. He will stop at nothing to achieve his dreams. Really great metaphor for life. One of my favorite lines from the movie is after Linguini kicks out Remy for stealing. Remy becomes so undetermined and leaves, saying that he "lost his appetite". It really hits hard because after going through all the chaos, he realizes that he will never achieve his dreams, just because he's a rat. He's always eager to try and eat foods, so him saying that he lost his appetite is really saying something. Great film!
