I recently finished reading a book that left quite an impression on me. Although it was quite a heavy read, I found it to be incredibly thought-provoking. The book delves into the tumultuous journey of parenting, shedding light on the impossible standards that mothers are often expected to live up to. It's definitely not your typical heartwarming tale, so if that's what you're in the mood for, this may not be the best choice. The story is quite intense and can leave you feeling like you're on an emotional rollercoaster. The protagonist's decisions weren't always the best, but I couldn't help but empathize with her throughout the book. I also wished that more of the mothers at the school had been portrayed with depth, like Linda, for example. There seemed to be more to her character than initially met the eye. Overall, I found it to be a great read despite its intensity.
