Still charming all these years later. O’Toole is funny, utterly charming, and even heartbreaking - his performance was worth the Oscar nomination - he must have had a blast recreating all those ‘Errol Flynn-type” movie clips. Supporting cast was perfect, revisiting the campy early 50’s variety shows, right down to the dancing cigarette packages. So many great quotes - “welcome to our chapeau!” My Favorite Year is just a classy little film and well worth the watch.
