We recently went to see this movie with our two boys and loved it! I thought it was a unique take on the classical Nutcracker with both a dark and uplifting plot. Think along the lines of Alice in Wonderland type of storyline although a bit more dramatic. My younger son (8) came out saying it was the best movie he had ever seen which says quite a bit considering he won't sit through most movies and especially in a theater because of the sound. My older son (10) said he really liked the twists and thought it was a good movie too. I thought it was creative how the actual nutcracker ballet was incorporated into the movie as well so I was able to give my children an insight into the world of ballet's. We enjoyed all the detailed costumes and sets. Even though this is a fictional story, the story of Clara's imagination is quite believable when dealing with such a traumatic event. ~ALuckyLadybugCom
