You would think the director would have used this to give Elaines back story as to how she became a phycic paranormal expert. NOT EVEN CLOSE! Straight up insidious 1&2 were the only 2 that made this series great and mainly because they felt as though they were written at the same time and not added on to an already completed story. insidious 3 was completely unnecessary to the series and was nothing more than a crappy addition for James Wans buddies to make money on for producing low effort crap. Sorry but 2 stars is extremely fair and Rotten Tomatoes review is of 33% out of 100% is very accurate....

I have to give this a bad review for so many reasons. I thought for sure the 2 main characters had autism and the writers were going some where with that but they didn't. This film is all over the place. You know writers are lazy when characters have to repeatedly narrate through out the film and also use frames to show how many years past (MULTIPLE TIMES!!!!). The acting was mediocre. I can't say my expectations were high because they weren't. There was many paths the writers and the directors could have went and it just seemed like they relied on imagery and constantly throwing curb balls. By the end of the film I just really wished I read the reviews before committing 2 hours of my life to something I could not enjoy

Terrible acting. I feel like some of the cast were only there as DEI hires... The plot went no where fast. Very small set. The comedy bits in the film didn't land at all for me. Everything this film was trying to achieve failed miserably in my opinion. I appreciate directors trying new things, but don't waste my time and money with terrible films like this please smh

This movie is awful. The cast was less than original. It is one of those films much like an action movie where a "team" is assembled. The writers and directors tried a new take however, I Have a very hard time calling this a horror film.

Terrible movie. Cringy and the jumpscares are obnoxiously loud. The plot was interesting except it was done in the least creative way imaginable

Simple short review, I just found the movie to be corny, predictable, and with too irrelevant scenes. Especially the beginning of the film which was just terrible. Also the first half of the film has this annoying singing here and there.... it's ridiculous. Oh and the main characters crying.... also ridiculous. If your into films like Children of the corn you'd probably like this film. I didn't care for it much. A couple of scenes from the movie were interesting but the writers and director took far too long to get to the point. I'd likely never recommend watching this film to anyone.

Terrible acting. Multiple irrelevant politically correct lines. The intro was ridiculous. Plot is terrible. Who ever wrote the lines for this film did terrible. The camera and some of the scenery is about the best thing you get out of this movie.

I have so many issues with lost film style horror films. Just because it's a lost film doesn't mean you have use terrible actors and terrible filming equipment. This movie spent 30 minutes doing absolutely nothing for the plot and it was loaded with unrelatable bro talk. If your into the typical stereo type of lost film horror movies this maybe for you. Too many cinema sins for me. I try to be an optimistic. Very unrelatable characters. All through out the film I was continously diappointed

It was rough. Stereotypical plot. Russell Crowe is a great actor but this film is just awful. Also I don't know who needs to hear this but please stop making movies that use multiple languages through out requiring me to read subtitles. The bed bound processed individual very stereotypical. This film went far beyond supernatural, to the point it falls in the category of Sci-fi horror smh. Too many cinema sins are created in films like this. If you want the simplest review of this film it is basically "The Nun" all over again.
