I was really hesitant to watch this movie after the trainwreck that was Insatiable on Netflix. I was worried it was another fat-shaming storyline and I wanted nothing to do with it. Had I not seen that Bex Taylor-Klaus was cast which piqued my interest, I might have missed out on one of the best films I have watched on Netflix easily all of 2018. The cast works phenomenally together, the plot manages to take on what seems to be a cliche narrative and comes through with equal part surprises and gratifying "YES IT HAPPENED!" moments. With such fabulous LGBTQIA+ representation, an uplifting soundtrack, and a resounding moral at its core, this movie is one to watch.

A new classic. This film speaks to the trials of the time but does not feel stagnant, despite being a very well known story. So many of the shots are stunning as they let the scene just breathe. Amazing performances across the board, Timothée clearly did his research and I'm glad they cast him for this role. I wasn't too familiar with his work but I was thoroughly impressed with how he took on the role! Easy 5 stars.
