The movie was surprisingly exciting even though it took on a documentary theme. The acting was great for every role and really helped immerse into the movie more. Since the movie was about Tetris, it was especially relatable to see how much risk the characters were taking in this Cold War era to emerge with such a huge product that remains so popular in the gaming market even til today.

Plot was a little slow but a story regarding 2 aspiring artists facing the harshness of reality always manages to hit a soft spot for audiences. Not the biggest fan of Ryan Gosling's lines or acting in this one. The songs were also a miss for me and in a musical, I'd think they make half the show, if not more (maybe I'm just one of those commoners that can't appreciate jazz). Dance scenes were fantastic though. Loved the alternate ending, definitely salvaged it for me. Interesting how some of the scenes were shot like as if it was Tom & Jerry (the way they cut the scenes, the speechless scenes, outro, etc.) Overall, gave a below average rating because I would never watch it again by choice.
