At last....the film equivalent of the book Lonesome Dove.

One of those films you go to the cinema expecting maybe an ok film and turns out to be a real gem. Kept politics out (which was my concern going to see it) and made a gritty, very well acted film that made some nasty, pertinent observations on conflict....from an interesting angle of the press.

Close but not quite right! I think these great directors sometimes surround themselves with 'yes' people and then tend to pontificate. The characters to me weren't believable.

I wrote my first review after 6 episodes and after 8 have to downgrade a bit! They have turned the main theme into crying Elsa and her love affairs. Sure, make it a thread running through the series...but it is way too much.

If you took out some gore so that Art was mainstream, I believe he would rule the roost. Way ahead of Freddy, Michael, Pennywise and co.

Why do you have to try and make a film like this so woke? Come on Hollywood stop preaching at us and entertain instead! This film had more corn than Iowa🙄 I just read all these 5 star ratings😳... you need to see more movies.
