Truly looked forward to this. And although I did enjoy it, it seemed to flutter from one epic, to another, without really giving the audience an outlook as to where it going to progress. I also expected a little more action, best price if work, in my opinion , was when Sauron grabbed the Millipied, I actually jumped. Also, the closure of each episode never grabbed me, by the horns, expectatios eg needing more instantly.Definstely looking forward to next episodes, I'm looking forward more episodes, I just hope that there's a wee bit more knitting together of the stories, as it does seem a little disjointed, maybe for series 3, a little more on focus on fewer story lines, rather than too many, I feel would help viewing and participation within the story, rather than attempting to fit so many story lines into what is after all, attempting to recreate Mr Tolkien. All in all, better than the majority of series, but requires a few wee weeks to make this truly memorable.
