Sex Education has got to be one of the best shows I have seen.
It explores so many important topics, sexual assault, abortion, a massive range of LGBT representation, family issues, sexual health, just to name a few. All these topics are treated with sensitivity, but the show manages to remain light hearted and upbeat throughout all this. Both seasons contain such good plot arcs and character chemistry, although it feels more like an American High School than a British Sixth Form.
Season 1 massively focused on Otis, Maeve and their clinic, while Otis was hardly a protagonist in the second season. All the main cast got their own screen time, and their issues openly investigated in the show. If I'm honest I enjoyed season 1 more; but that's purely because Maeve and Otis got more screen time together.
Although it's not exactly the sort of a show parents would want their teenagers watching; I think that everyone in the 16-18 age range, as well as those older, should watch this show, to gain a deeper understanding of important issues.
