I was 6 when this was first shown on TV. I remember watching bits and pieces and being fascinated by the costumes as a young child. It was great to watch it properly very recently. It’s an excellent production with first class acting and attention to historical facts. Very importantly, when there is music, which isn’t often, it’s music of the era. None of this noisy rubbish we have today when you can barely hear the actors. The quiet moments are there for you to contemplate and think. I cannot recommend this production enough...I loved it.
