This is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Filled with tough-guy cliches, embarrassing to listen to and probably downright humiliating to have to speak on the part of the actors, is only one of the awful aspects of this movie. The fight scenes, straight from the Matrix series, are so predictable I could have cued them up myself. Mattias Schoenaerts, one of the great actors of his generation, can't quite figure out what movie he's in. His "great reveal" near the end of the movie becomes nothing more than a "so what?" moment. Our black female protagonist isn't skillful enough to hold the movie together, but the storyline doesn't help her out much. Charlize Theron is the oxygen in the room but she's reduced to a female Terminator with not enough back story. I'm all for minority actors, producers, directors, but this movie flop should make a few people consider going back to film school and actually learning their craft.
