The more I watch Chris Wallace, the less competent I consider him. Time and again, I have been astonished at his poor command of the facts, and subsequent failure to ask intelligent and probing questions, given every opportunity. Furthermore, he is unashamedly and routinely tougher on the conservatives and Republicans he interviews than he is on the liberals and Democrats. Chris is smirky, interrupts constantly, and refuses to listen when conservatives speak. It's as if he already has his mind made up and doesn't want to hear a thing to the contrary; he acts like a dog with a bone with conservatives, but a pussycat with liberals. His style and attitude are nothing short of supremely irritating. Presumably, the only reason Fox keeps him on the payroll is because he is Mike Wallace's son and someone is protecting him. It's Easter Sunday, and I'm watching him interview Rudy Giuliani, who is having a terrible time answering without Chris constantly interrupting him. Adam Schiff is being interviewed next. If Chris fails to be as aggressive and snarky with Schiff, I'm never watching Wallace again. Period.
Follow up: sure enough, true to form, Chris allowed Adam Schiff to answer every question without a single interruption, and his tone was conciliatory almost to the point of obsequious, the polar opposite of his tone with Rudy Giuliani. This is the last time I will be watching Chris Wallace interview anyone because his blatantly biased stance robs him of all credibility. He belongs on CNN or MSNBC.
Maria Bartiromo is a far more intelligent, better informed, and sharper interviewer than Chris Wallace. Fox should replace Chris Wallace with Maria Bartiromo.
