This is such a rare occurrence but this movie outdoes the first one. A sequel with so many references from the first movie. (Spoiler : I was hoping for Bing Bong to reappear but nope.)
It is wonderful, creative, funny and relatable. The creators managed to realistically illustrate what happens inside a person and depict how important every part of us is. I love how it portrays the complex phase of teenagers through adolescence, displaying those awkward and anxious moments we've all experienced back in the day. The humor does not seem forced, and it blends seamlessly with the story, animation and dialogue, making the storytelling both cohesive and enjoyable for families of all ages to love. There are deeper concepts in the film that I feel adults might need even more than children. It is an honest representation that emotions are indeed complicating to understand, easily confounding with our social interactions. Â They affect us in ways that change us, for the good or for bad.Â
And always remember, your feelings are valid!
