The dialogue is just a bunch of contextless platitudes cynically and nonsensically jammed into 30 minutes, showing no respect for the ideas behind the words. There is something profane about trading the true moral depth of meaning of concepts like "kindness," "friendship," "home," etc. for an aesthetic feeling. Of course, the result is mawkish and boring. Any film that requires the audience to stop thinking is a film not worthy of any legitimate award (though it may be worthy of an Oscar).
