This show has a premise that could have been really good, but it was ruined for me by constant superficiality of the characters and objectification of both men and women. It poses as a Christian family show, but any religious regerence comes off very sacreligious and they encourage sex before marriage— focusing heavily on phyical attraction and not the other forms of relationship development. Some of the lines and actions seem out of place and over the top, which may be fine in occassional situations in a sitcom, but it is constant and painful to watch sometimes with some of the directing choices made. I don’t like the lines they gave the youngest daughter. It seems very out of place given her mom has died a couple years ago and there is no one else that acts like that where she can learn it from. There were some good moments, but the flaws of the show outweighed the positives after a while. It is sad because some of the actors and singing were pretty good, just poor delivery on part of the show creators.
