If history is your thing, especially Ancient Rome this series is very bingable. Actually watched the first two episodes and let in drop just didn’t get hooked, think it was something to do with the dialogue. However over the last two days saw the entire 1st and 2nd series mesmerized. The storyline just constantly improved from one episode to the next. The production values were first class, grit and detail second to none. If any criticism is levelled at this series stems from the quality of the English dubbing as well the subtitles, they were if not poor perhaps best described as sketchy. The dubbing looked overtly dudded and the subtitles didn’t sync language wise. Actual history might be a little off, but to be expected. If you liked ‘I Claudius’ and Rome, etc., this may well be your bag. Look forward to season 3 with improved dudding and subtitles. Question is can the writers keep up the quality? We will see!
