1 Star is generous for this attrocious excuse for a film, yet another awful remake in the long line of remakes. Have they actually read the book? This is so far off the book it's unreal, awful characters and way too much CGI being relied upon. Why doesn't the main character have a name? He is clearly called Luke in the book and 1990 film. Just gets called boy in this rubbish, the grandma is wrongly cast, she gets on your nerves from minute one. Complete and utter rubbish and as usual, like all the other remakes, should have been left alone, nothing wrong with the 1990 version. AVOID AND WATCH THE 1990 VERSION FOR A PROPER ADAPTION OF THIS WONDERFUL STORY.
