Disappointed ☹️ Major 80s Batman fan Christian Bale trilogy fan Was sooo excited for this but found myself sleeping in this 3 hour long blah of a movie. For me it wasn’t the actors that ruined it for me but an overall feel of it. It’s just not a Batman touch. When Batman shows up in the scene there’s no surprise or “here I am” feel. It really lacks a WOW factor and I’m disappointed. It is very flat, no ups and downs and drawn out. It was hard to be excited for anything throughout the entire movie. I felt it’s trying to be “dark” like The Joker movies because those did so well, but this is really missing something that is hard to explain. We love a “dark and rooting” Batman but this is more melancholy than dark. The riddle is dark and twisted and I’m happy to see that actor, Paul Dano, a lesser known actor in such a big role…I thought he did great! Maybe this is the taste for the younger generations.
