This was part of required course in women's studies at the U of T 35 years ago. As a Cree woman and adoption survivor this book terrified me. The woman who raised me was not my mother and I could not talk about it for fear of being annihilated. I was sorry to hear of Paula's passing - I think we might have fond an adoptee rights ally in her - I sure as heck didn't find it in those other white American women at the school. Three stars because I actually couldn't read it.
