O skittles

I don't want to call it a movie, but instead a peice of art. A colletion of images and symbols to perceive in different ways. A collaboration of sound and vibrant ideas. It Feels like a batman movie, and yet is completely distinguishable from other films from the franchise.

spoilers free review It felt like they tried to cram too much of the whole entirety of Mario into one movie that was too short of a film. In doing so, it seemed to have messed with the overall flow of the movie. So the pacing seemed a little bit rushed. There were certain storylines that seemed to have been lost throughout the film that were abruptly cut short. I would describe the film with the word abrupt. It’s still hard to imagine Chris Pratt as mario, I mean it was definitely a stretch but I can understand where they were going with it. The accent was a good choice and I can see why they chose it, in order to not make Mario annoying. Jack black as bowser was phenomenal, and I loved how they capitalized on him being a singer with the song peaches. It was a fun movie and there were beautiful cinematic shots. The animation was crisp and distinct. There were funny moments, definitely a family favorite.
