I’ve not gotten very far in the series because I’ve just started watching it, but there is not one episode that I haven’t laughed or cried through because of how wonderfully it represents the reality of what working in a care home is like. In this series I can see my passion for working in care represented by a middle aged care-worker who has all the personal qualities I strive for in myself and what I wish everyday i could see in other people. I have developed a deeply routed love for Derek’s genuine loving and caring nature. The show does a beautiful job at capturing the many different perspectives of what living with old age is like from the Carers views, family’s views and the elderly’s views themselves. I think the show gives an accurate example of how every life is precious and unique, and it reminds me that there’s not a single moment I regret working in care. I love this series as much as I love my job, thank you so much for its creation <3
