Well I’ll never get that two hours of my life back. Let’s start with the positives. Kathy Bates was stellar as always even with a terrible script. She gets a pass. Joey King is a solid actor. Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron, both of whom I am normally a fan, had no chemistry and despite both being solid actors, didn’t seem to be in this film. Maybe because of the terrible script even they couldn’t get behind it? Every scene with the two of them was cringy and seemed forced. Do not watch this film. Instead watch Schitt’s Creek again from the beginning.
