Ikari Shinji os a fourteen years old boy that was convoked to fight in a giant robot battle against monsters called angels which are threating the humanity. His father, who abandoned him is the command who convoked him to save humanity. So, feeling like a tool to his father and suffering of loneness, Shinji goes through a lot of philosophical thoughts, having to fight inside and outside himself to survive.
