I really enjoyed this show I’ve been a large fan of Poe stories since I first started lessons on them in middle school. The fall of the house of usher where the title was a bit misleading at first is one of the most interesting shows I’ve ever watched, it’s just one big love letter to the original Poe stories. The show itself has many aspects that will be sure to capture you once you’ve started you’re find yourself forced to see what happens next. Everywhere you look there’s references to a hand full of stories, the name of the company the characters the way they interact with the world around them you could spend hours just finding all the little details and never get bored. It’s not just the references but the visuals are stunning everything just screams, the visuals have this almost depressing feeling everything you see sends chills down your spine you know that death is everywhere yet the way it looks it’s almost like the set itself is crying out begging for its very lively hood to be spared. The ending lands where it may at times be on the nose and a bit rushed it sets up a beautiful last scene and ties everything in with the title in a breath taking way. The fall of the house of usher keeps in one of the most important parts of the original title the fear of loss of control death chill almost eating you whole. If you like Poe stories than I can promise you’ll not be disappointed with this show it’ll be in the back of your head haunting you and placing fears of what if tomorrow never comes in the best way possible.
