I enjoy the way the guests appear more and more distracted and become incoherent as the show goes on.

The critics who offered poor reviews of this movie all seem to have a grudge about particular minor issues in it. What happened at Midway saved the United States from a protracted war and possible defeat. Emmerich presented the chaos of the battle and the unexcelled bravery of the men who fought at Midway and the others who supported them. Those familiar with history could understand that the characters had to explain much even as it was impossible to explain everything. Much was shown that remained unexplained but is understood by those who have studied the Pacific war and the heroes who won it.
