Just got home from watching this, and all I can say is 10/10. Encanto was visually stunning, it had a great message, and a very dedicated animation team working on the project. It was an amazing film and the first movie by Disney I've given a 10/10 in a long time.

I went to go see this film just last night, and I really enjoyed it! The animation was stellar and incredibly beautiful. The voice acting was pretty good too, except some dialogue was a bit cringy or sounded forced. Since I went to a later showing (10 pm), and there were mostly adults and teenagers, and everyone was having the time of their lives. It was a big wave of nostalgia from the soundtrack to the mariokart references. The Super Mario Bros. Movie was very enjoyable throughout, and I didn’t find myself getting bored at all. At an hour and thirty-two minutes, it was pretty fast-paced, but that’s what you get with a movie aimed for children. However, a film doesn’t have to be three hours long to be good. Bowser was awesome, and Jack Black’s performance of him didn’t fail. The folks who worked on this movie really knew what they were doing, and I’m glad about it. My only concern was with how fast-paced it was. If we could’ve gotten a little more character growth or backstory, it’d be a bit better, I think, but overall it was fine. I really recommend anyone to go see this whether your a child or adult. It’s enjoyable and packed with humour and nostalgia.

This movie was really bad. Let's just face it already. The story was messy and convoluted, and the whole horror element they tried to add didn't make it good at all. America was a terrible character. They made her a damsel in distress for literally the entire movie until the very end when she suddenly is able to be the only one actually to fight Wanda. She worked as a multiversal McGuffin half the time and really wasn't an interesting character at all. Wanda was WAY too overpowered as well. I understand she has 'magic powers', but there is no way that none of the people at that temple weren't able to harm her. I lost it at the Illuminati thing. Like- why the hell did they even add that?! It's so stupid. The CGI was alright, but it was so bad at other times. They literally just filmed the entire movie on greenscreen. Again, I really hate America. Any and all interactions where she says a joke came out as cringy, and all her dialogue sounded forced. Literally, every time a character talked to her, it sounded forced. Especially when she met strange for the first time. Her whole power thing where the portals turned into stars didn't make sense whatsoever. I don't even know why she had that ugly jacket either. It was also stupid how they added the whole "doctor strange not being over his ex" thing. That was such a dumb plot point. Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... This movie was a waste of time.

Just watched this last night, and it blew me out of the water. It was amazing! I really appreciate that they didn't overuse CGI and special effects. I have never really cared for DC movies in the past, but this one was very enjoyable to watch. The action was very well done, and the whole puzzle/riddles elements really made it better. I wasn't really a fan of the romance aspect and whole Catwoman character arc, but it was okay. If/when the sequel comes out, I'll definitely go watch it!
