HOO-HA! What an incredible watch! 'The Scent of a Woman' is now easily one of my favorite movies of all time. This film kept my whole family absorbed as though we were a part of the Colonel's journey and like Charlie rooted for his healing. It's a story that you'll never forget for years to come. Young Charlie's patience and strong conscience are character traits that you seldom see these days and the movie makes it believable that it was a rarity three decades ago as well. As the story slowly unfolds, we witness the layers of both protagonists slowly peeling off. It reveals that every human is truly an amalgamation of feelings of utmost courage and confidence and submissiveness which shows up according to different situations. It also proves that love in some form and the realisation of finally being valued truly gives a reason to live.
