The acting was great and overall the series was good. The reason that I only gave it 3 stars was because I didn't like Alex's character at all. She was very selfish especially with the choices she made. Throughout the series a lot of people tried to help and she turned them down, I don't understand who does that. On top of that what really annoyed me was that her dad really tried to help her, regardless of his past he was in a much better place, he was able to overcome his addiction and people can change with the right people (not her crazy mom) and help around them. Instead she declined his help and preferred to be emotionally abused by her crazy mother that needs to go to rehab. I also really felt bad for Sean because he was trying to better himself by getting sober. Alex's dad was there to help him which is something she should have done. Instead she doesn't want her dad around him, once again only cared about herself. All she did was make it worse for him by not helping him and just giving him more problems by not having a job.... For example she didn't have money to pay for her cellphone plan, but makes him look bad because he doesn't have money to spare to pay for her plan like... WTH. It's not his fault you got fired Alex he was trying to do his best.
