The idea to satirize the stereotypical language and themes of black writers so as to meet white expectations was brilliant. The tone of the movie was appropriate. Acting was good. It was great to see Leslie Uggams again. The short-lived role of Tracee Ellis Ross was unfortunate. She's a great actress too. Maybe she should be awarded for Best Actress in a Shrinky Dink Part.
