This is a response to Janessa Mitchell's "review" of the movie.
To the person who is throwing a "Karen fit" and gave the movie 1 star with out even seeing it and needed to write a 700+ worded run on sentence about how upset they are, pretty much sums up the selfish attitude of how many Americans are dealing with the domino effect of Covid.
I get the disappointment of seeing a trailer with a release date for a movie you want to see, only to have that date pulled back. When the very first teaser trailer hit theaters in Dec 13th, Covid wasn't even reported yet until New Years Eve. The date of the release was set in MARCH, way before the teaser was even dropped. Obviously, America was put on hold in March/April, sending MANY movies on shelves for a later date. AQPPII has been pushed back a few times because the projection rate of the outbreak's life cycle was wrongly based on the assumption that Americans would help do their part in slowing down the spread.
Maybe you should re-evaluate your target of anger and disappointment, it seems the delays are only a reaction.
Some studios don't have the option of throwing their movies on VOD OR if they do, its only a per movie bases, depending on contracts or stock holder voting.
Regardless, this sums up the many (but not all)Americans who acted with selfishness, self centered attitudes towards the domino effect they AND Covid caused. Being upset that they can't see a movie in theaters, completely ignoring that we are in the middle of health crises. S/he wants people to open up the theaters, potentially putting their and their loved ones health and life at risk just so they can see a movie they where "promised" they would be able to watch months prior.
Is watching this movie worth the potential health risk of the very workers who would serve you by handing you a ticket stub?
So you will have to wait a few more months to see this film. Life goes on and the world continues, except for those who got sick and didn't make it.
Entitlement helped the spread and complaining about movies being held back because of a pandemic is such a 1st world problem.
That "review" captures everything that is 2020 with such clarity that even Stevie Wonder himself would be able to see it.
It needs to be saved and archived as it shows a pure, unfiltered representation, either consciously or subconsciously of the attitude and entitlement many have during an outbreak.
