This film is an abssolute classic. My wife loves the Metal Gear games and now she sees the inspiration for them. One of my favorite things is how raw the movie is. In a lot of the fight scenes, there's little to no sound effects for punches. They packed so much into it with such a small budget and it still looks fantastic today. At nearly 40 years old, Escape From New York has held up quite well. Hopefully, the sequel will be back on Amazon Prime soon, because my wife is hooked and can't wait to see that one too.
If you want to revisit one of the best sci-fi films ever made, I urge you to do so, you can't go wrong with this one! There's a lot to love about this movie, so please check it out.

An amazing short. Different than I expected from Reacher. Has an old, potboiler crime novel feel to it that was pretty cool. I hope there will be more short Reachers. I love to get into a big novel about the big guy, but these little stories are like a jolt of quick to read adrenaline!
