First, to the highbrow crowd that feels the need to reduce any criticism of this film as a failure of its critic's ability to enjoy anything but LOR or Avengers type film you are missing the mark as badly as this film does.
They're no consequences for any of the main character's faults or decisions.
The movie sets up multiple stages of conflicts that deliver boiling points of drama only to leave them unresolved or solved in some way off camera with no explanation given to the viewer.
This movie felt as if the director learn a lot of cool camera tricks and sound effect tricks and thought that throwing them together with an empty narrative will create enough of a spectacle to impress viewers.
Less spinning shots and more consequences for the character's decisions would vastly improve this project.
It's a pretty shallow, pretty movie.
