Opening scene gave me goosebumps, but huge mistake introducing this Cole guy into the film (or the actor at least). Even more disappointing was Liu Khang who looked like a skinny gothic kid rather than the powerful warrior we became accustomed to seeing in the previous films. The other huge problem was the films transitions, and it felt like they either cut a bunch out to save time or they were just lazy so all the characters mastered their power in seconds. Only reason I gave it 3 stars was for the action, gore and then the Sonya/Kano drama. Both actors played it out really well, and the guy who played sub zero was pretty good too. Not cool that they left Johnny Cage out because “we didn’t want another white hero” apparently... Not sure it would of made a difference anyways though. Nice attempt and hopefully it goes better in the next! EDIT: I FORGOT ABOUT THE MOST IMPORTANT PART! THEY NEVER PLAYED THE ORIGINAL THEME SONG 🤬🤬🤬
