Season 8 Episode 5, Officers Scott and gould are two of the most derelict peace officers out there. It starts out the episode with officer gould acting like it was Christmas because he gets to go bust someone on TV on opening day. They said the deer was shot on Mr. Harvs property yet found blood right where the hunter said he shot the deer ON OUR PROPERTY! Kinda funny how at the 4:20 mark in the episode officer gould finds blood from the deer that was shot and just writes it off to the other deer that was shot between 10 and 15 yards from there. At this point it didn't matter what the hunter had to say they had their minds made up already. Blood evidence they found on Mr. Harvs side of the fence was within 3 feet of the fence. Any blood spatter technician would tell you that the blood Scott pointed too couldn't have been from a deer shot across the fence. It doesn't just drop straight down. Mr. Harv claims there were deer tracks on his property, HELLO, it's Llano, TX. How many hundreds of deer are in that general area I wonder, hmmm. Yes that could have been tresspass by projectile but even a small caliber rifle can travel a couple of miles before it hits the ground. There are bullets crossing property lines out there all the time. I've heard rounds whistle through the trees on more than one ocassion. Besides you would have to find the bullet to prove it anyway. This person was charged with Hunting without landowner consent, which is a felony, on this extremely flimsy evidence. Only after failing to turn over the full bodycam video to the DA's office as requested they dropped the charges claiming they didn't want to dirty a persons record that had such a clean record to begin with. Also, the blood samples that were taken were never matched back to the two deer that were shot. I blame the Lone Star Law show for creating a situation where the game wardens went out of their way just to be TV stars. Yes this happened to me and it cost me around $5K. Thank you wardens Scott and gould, you've taken a couple of years off my life over this.
