Too campy for me. Loved the 1st one, but #2... meh

I finally got around to watching this movie. Im kindof lost why so many bad reviews? I thought Swinson did an amazing job. She loved her kid, but resigned herself to the fact he hated her. The father was, oblivious and indulgent. Kevin was narcissistic, and a sociopath. I understand to a degree why the townsfolk hated her, but she was as much a victim as the others. A good movie and good actors will make you love, hate or feel for them and this did that for me. I didnt like Kevin from toddler til the end. Swinson's character had me feeling sympathetic from the start. Ive not read the book, but its on my list. Overall, I liked the movie.
