Honestly, I cried MULTIPLE TIMES. Related to it deeply. Watching this was the definition of an emotional rollercoaster. The movie does such a good job of breaking down such a heavy topic in a structured and orderly way. The movie was of course about the origin of racism but it was also about love, grief, family. DuVernay does a great job of giving each of these elements equal importance. This movie was nothing short of exceptional.
