Could not keep all the characters straight. Spead over most of the chapters. No soul. Did not care or believe that any of the characters truly cared. Purpose was to get the historical facts in Print at the expense of any real character or plot development to go along with the history.

Genuine. Needed more close editing ,but the beauty of message and language remained to be admired and pondered. When a reader closes the last page of a book, a phrase, a tear, a smile, a thank you, a sense of having shared an experience must remain. This book did it all. I am 85 years old and I hope to write Susan in the dust on my table before leaving this earth behind. Those who read this book will know why.

You do not just read this book, you feel it down deep inside. You share in the anger the heartbreak and love for two well imagined and well written characters.
