I love, love, love this show. So much of what has been said here I agree with so I won't restate it. Also the ensemble work and all the auxiliary characters are phenomenal - and, I got to love Brianna in the end, she's probably my favorite character now. (Well, I rotate favorites, each one has been my favorite at one point - because I've seen the entire series a few times.)
I just want to say, however, that there is so much drinking and drug use on the show - and it is hilarious and I enjoy watching it - as a 66 year old, as an adult. However, it sets a terrible example! If we all drank and smoked as much pot as these people, we'd be in a blur, our work lives would be a disaster, and we'd be homeless. I just retired from 33 years in social work and have seen the ravages of alcohol and substance abuse. This shows an unreal depiction of life. Now, maybe in Hollywood, there are types of people who are so intelligent, so driven, so put together, that they can use drugs and alcohol to this level -and still function, but for the rest of us mortals - uh, no. However, that being said, the show is marvelous and teaches so many life lessons. Thanks.
