A Man from Another Place

Despite being the title character, Sterling Hayden plays a supporting role. The wonderful Joan Crawford (and Mercedes McCambridge as harpy Emma) are the heart of this powerful psychodrama.

This is bad. As Ann Morgan and others have said, it treats the viewers as idiots. With continual condescending explanations of every simple element of the story. The acting is pretty poor. The whole thing is a mess. They obviously think the Belgium connection makes it more international and exciting. Belgium? It just makes it even duller and more pedestrian. I've given up on it. Can't take another hour of being lectured like a 6 year old. Switched over to Dark Woods. A far more intelligent approach to crime drama.
