This show is great. A lot of people claiming to not like it because it strays too far from the original comic. Have not read the comic. Or missed the point. The show ties into the comic directly. It is a murder mystery with some interesting dialogue on police, power, the government and a very fresh take on 'superhero's' and vigilantism. The original Watchmen peeled back the layers on traditional superhero ethos and tropes. This expands on that and walks it further down the line to including that real life people in public service capacity need secret identities to do their jobs now. It's a tasty and layered conversation. The racial aspects of the show and story are an appetizer. They are not heavy handed or not thought out or obvious. A backdrop for the meat of the murder mystery. Anyone upset about Rorshach and how his legacy is being portrayed and using that to knock the show or story, did not read or understand the comic or what happened. Great show so far.
