We are a Disney family. We love the original Disney movies as well as the newly released nonanimated versions. Beauty and the Beast to point out was wonderful, the acting, the setting, and the storyline all were truly engaging. Unfortunately, I can not say the same for this nonanimated version of The Little Mermaid. While the beginning really brought you into the different view of the story that I enjoyed, the middle spiraled into a low budget "feel" of unbelievable events, even for movie land. On the upside my 6yr old daughter enjoyed it and that's what really mattered.
