I'm a Bond traditionalist 62-89, I haven't been the biggest fan of Craig's era, much like I didn't care for Brosnan. Moore will always be Bond. Skyfall will be the closest to proper Bond in Craig's era. This one did try, it had some good elements to it and tried to recreate some past scenes, but not matching those scenes impact from the film they represent. It was action packed in spots, dragged in others, Safin was a forgettable villain. Also what were they thinking Billie Eilish singing ?. It's a average effort not matching Skyfall but better than Spectre. It runs at 2 3/4 hours, which is long but doesn't drag like Spectre. The story was a rehash of On her Majesty's secret service, For your eyes only, Dr.No. The producers need to find better writers as the team of a Purvis and Wade have had more mediocre scripts than spectacular.
John Glen should come out of retirement and show current directors how a Bond film should be done.
