A return for Dario in the directors chair. It's a blend of giallo and psychological terror. Loosely uses a Jack the Ripper element with killing prostitutes. The first kill is extremely graphic and well executed with its practical effects. The pacing is good, and also the 80's sounding goblin like sync soundtrack. A good return to the master of horror.

I'm a Bond traditionalist 62-89, I haven't been the biggest fan of Craig's era, much like I didn't care for Brosnan. Moore will always be Bond. Skyfall will be the closest to proper Bond in Craig's era. This one did try, it had some good elements to it and tried to recreate some past scenes, but not matching those scenes impact from the film they represent. It was action packed in spots, dragged in others, Safin was a forgettable villain. Also what were they thinking Billie Eilish singing ?. It's a average effort not matching Skyfall but better than Spectre. It runs at 2 3/4 hours, which is long but doesn't drag like Spectre. The story was a rehash of On her Majesty's secret service, For your eyes only, Dr.No. The producers need to find better writers as the team of a Purvis and Wade have had more mediocre scripts than spectacular. John Glen should come out of retirement and show current directors how a Bond film should be done.

Not Moore's best outing but still way better than Brosnan 99,02, and better than Spectre. Jaws reprises his role, Michael Lonsdale plays Drax. Not the most memorable villain but meets a delightfully campy end. This one threw in everything and was the most outlandish of Moore's films. It's still an entertaining film. Lois Chiles plays Dr. Goodhead yes....only in a Bond film. The scenes with the python is the most memorable and Jaws offers more comedy in this outing.

Always loved Roger as Bond, and he knocked it out if the park with this one. Nothing from the Craig era is as fun as this. This one had an eccentric evil man with webbed fingers, wanting to create cities under the sea by capturing subs with a specially designed tanker to blow up large populated cities. Pretty Bond girl, Jaws, some of the best one liners of the series, gadget laidden Lotus car, mixed with great action, car chases, and a disco sounding soundtrack from Marvin Hamlisch. Carly Simon sang the song. This is everything a Bond film should be.

I personally prefered Moore as Bond, but do wish Dalton had the chance to do more films like end on Tomorrow never dies giving him 4 solid films. Though I think his two are better offerings than we seen of late. The Living Daylights is Dalton's first Bond film after Roger retired in 1985. It's a good entry in a more serious tone. A double crossing Russian defector, and a side storyline involving an American arms dealers swapping guns for opium. Great performances from Dalton, Davies as Gogol replacement, Joe Don Baker as Whittaker. Maryim D'abo is the Bond girl. Most of Moore tongue in cheek humour is removed but an amusing scene involving the cello case, and couple humours moments from Q give this film the fun escapist factor. This was the last one scored by John Barry, has similar feel as Octopussy right down to same gunbarrel music. If you like Craig's Bond watch this one than compare.

Dalton's second entry ticks all the boxes of a Bond film. It's a darker Bond film like that of the Craig era but unlike Craig films manages to balance the action, fun, and can carry Dalton's charisma as Bond. Good revenge storyline, David Hedison reprises role of Felix last seen in 73's Live and Let die, Robert Davi is a great villain, Lowell is equal to Bond as a female agent, Q is used as a field agent without M's knowledge. Talisa Soto is pretty but kinda phoned it in, great Kamen score, with song by Gladys Knight. Some elements used near the end reminiscent of the Moore era. The wheeling Kenworth, and winking fish. A great watch for a Saturday night.

Some would argue that Goldeneye was Brosnan's best. I disagree this was his Goldfinger. It had everything in a traditional Bond film. Domination storyline, campy over the top villain, 2 Bond girls, Terri Hatcher being from Bonds past. Wei Lyn was a good match to Bond in skill as a Chinese agent. Good song from Cheryl Crow and decent score from Arnold , action, light pacing, and a bit of the humour although Brosnan not as natural with the one liners as Moore.

Goldeneye is the first Bond of the 90's Sadly Timothy Dalton didn't return and we got Remington Steele as Bond now. It was a decent first try. Felt like a traditional Bond film until the last quarter in Cuba, after that feels like a generic action film. Tina Turner performs the title song, followed by a mediocre score from Eric Serra. Femke Jansen, Sean Bean,Allan Cumming were great additions. Also look for Joe Don Baker as a 90's Leiter goes by the name Jack Wade.

Connery's best Bond film. The fort Knox story is a bit loopy but then Auric Goldfinger was a mad villain. Not as menacing as Christopher Walken in AVTAK, but still good, oddjob was a great henchman. John Barry scores a good soundtrack and Shirley Bassey belts out the best Bond Ballad not matched until Carly Simon in 77. True Bond classic. Honor Blackman is an older Bond girl but is unique being bisexual which was unheard of in films of this time.

Good first entry for Craig, good origin story, Eva Green makes a believable love interest, LeChiffre is a decent villain, despite not really knowing who the main villain is. Mathis is a good contact, Wright is good as Felix Leiter though David Hedison will always be no1. Chris Cornell belts out a good tune even if it isn't the typical Bond song. A welcomed addition when compared to Brosnan's last two. David Arnold scores a decent soundtrack to this one.
