The book seems to normalize pedophilia (a relationship between an 8-14 year old girl and a 25+ year old man) which was extremely uncomfortable to read... I kept hoping the relationship between the main characters would back up and turn more paternal, ultimately having some sort of happy ending for the tragic life of Wavy, but it kept getting worse and much more graphic, super triggering. I am willing to give the writer another shot because her style draws you in, but I wish I researched more of the content before diving into this one.
