Beautiful book written in free verse! Honestly good for any age. My ten year old read it in a few days, and recommended it to me. Of course I considered it, read it in few hours. I loved the country-side slang to it, and I could really feel what Jacqueline Woodson experienced in her childhood. Very recommended! Listen, I was scrolling through other reviews, and i know you are supposed to tell an honest feeling about the book, but some of the comments were actually racist and mean.
