Not a huge Shrijit fan, so hopefully it would be an honest or in the least an unbiased feedback.
I'll try to keep it short.
Pros -
1. The movie starts off pretty well. And the pace of the movie till the end is pretty moderate and mostly doesn't bore you.
2. The dialogues are quite funny and written with good comedic sense. The dialogues sometimes single-handedly hold up a boring scene.
3. The acting of the three leads are phenomenal. The negative lead of the movie, Jishu Sengupta, to me is the standout performer. He steals the show.
4. The cinematography of the movie is beautiful for the most part.
5. The first big surprise in the movie was completely unexpected and it gets you impressed.
6. Some beautiful songs with amazing lyricism.
Cons -
1. Some of the scenes are unnecessarily prolonged. It takes the life out of the movie.
2. Just like Baishe Shrabon, I have the same complaint. The last scenes are always so unnecessarily stretched. Like yes, good job, got it. But don't take the flavour out of it now. That is my biggest complaint from the movie.
Only for this, I gave the movie a 3/3.5 star or else it would have been a 4.
3. The CGI in the end is not at all upto the standard. Could have been so much better.
Lastly, if you are going to watch the movie with the same expectations as Baishe Shrabon, I'm sorry to tell you, you'll be disappointed.
Watch it as a prequel and you'll love it. It sets the stage very well for Baishe Shrabon.
Even has some great call ups from that movie. If you can remember them, the movie will be twice as enjoyable.
To conclude, it's a great one time watch and you won't regret watching it if you are a Baishe Sharbon and Dwitiyo Purush fan.
