I don’t think this movie deserves a single star. The Duffer Brothers have obviously never seen the original animated show Death Note. Their character choice as well as the over all writing, was almost the complete opposite of the show they were attempting to portray. I had to force myself to finish this almost 2 hour long movie of utter disappointment. I expected the movie to at least be similar to the original show, however; it was the complete opposite in almost every way. I could go on and on about how different this movie is to the original show but that would be a waste of time. In the end, this movie is only “good” if you’ve never seen or heard of the show, that way you have nothing to compare it to.
