Like many on this feed, I am enjoying the show very much! In this time of COVID, I am stuck at home to protect myself and family members. I look forward to seeing the show each week and learning more about the popular culture of Turkey and the images of Istanbul. I guess one of the benefits on COVID is that I have been working less and for the first time in a long time I actually have time at home to watch TV and just started watching Turkish TV shows for curiosity. Now, I am in love with them and have started thinking about how I can incorporate aspects of Turkish popular culture and maybe clips of series to show my students, so that they get exposed to a part of the world they would not otherwise see and to show the many similarities of popular culture between Turkey and the US. Thanks so much for the subtitles as well. It really takes some concentration to figure out some of the subtleties of what is going on otherwise although, I can usually get the general idea (especially the comedy) without them. Dramas can be a bit harder to understand without the subtitles.
