As a hardcore Breath of The Wild player, Tears of The Kingdom did appeal to me quite a bit. New abilites, literally building ANYthing you want, new enemies, completely different weapon concept, all armour available including previous Breath of the Wild DLC unlockable only armour, and so much more. Normally, I should've been hyped.
I was wrong.
I'm not saying this because I'm biased, but Tears of The Kingdom was a little too much. The storyline was ok, the enemies were a cheese, and the weapons became boring. Even building stuff lost it's luster for me after a while. The only thing that gives me minor thrill in this game (SPOILER) is fighting Silver Lynels without armour. Defeating them is so easy for me that I have 15 of their horns now, like seriously? Combat is my favourite part of Breath of The Wild and Tears of The Kingdom. Normally, people said "stick to the storyline then". I did, found out it had an epic fight, beat it, and also found out that just like Breath of The Wild, the storyline only has one ending. Yes, I do get that there are so many armour possibilities, and I'll admit, I do like dressing up Link (name of the protagonist), and sure, I was hyped when I fused a Royal Guards Claymore to a Silver Lynel Saber horn, and then partially broke it to get it to 172 damage, and then cheesed 10 lynels after that, and then, and then, and then. Yes, this game is fun for most, but I ruined it for me by overplaying Breath of The Wild. I'll still give it a 5 star because I'm a huge Zelda lore based games, having played:
Link's Awakening (Switch Remaster)
A Link to The Past and Four Swords (SNES)
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity (Switch)
I do like my Zelda games, so I can't complain about this one too much...
