I think this was one of the most beautiful things I've watched. Although it has a historical setting the message is more about the power of beautiful human connections that give us hope and make life worth living. I loved everything about this series including the cast.
Yes, the cast do not have french accents but it didn't bother me as the message was so beautiful and profound.
